"The main aim and object of a human being's existence on earth is to unfold freedom consciousness out of individual human consciousness."

Heidi Groschler (Hirdaya) has devoted her life to freedom and Self-knowledge. She was drawn to meditation at an early age, recognizing that it provided answers to her innately inquiring mind, and a way of living the life of freedom and fulfillment she had been searching for. For over thirty years she has been extensively teaching and practicing the transforming science of meditation and its philosophy, twenty of which have been spent in a specialized mastership program at the International Meditation Institute in the Himalayas under the guidance of a Self-realized master. Through her intensive practice, Hirdaya has deeply imbibed the spirit of the pure, blissful and timeless wisdom of Self-awareness.

Heidi Hirdaya

Hirdaya has a genuine love of people, a keen understanding of the human mind and spirit, and an ability to create ease around her, making her uniquely gifted in awakening the transforming power and expanded perspective of meditation in her students. Hirdaya’s extraordinary communication abilities combine lightness, compassion and penetrating insight. She has a talent for translating complex truths into practical contemporary wisdom, so that it is inspiring and personally relevant to each of her listeners.

In 2002, after a long period of study in India, Hirdaya came to Vancouver to teach. She created the Here and Now Meditation Centre offering meditation, satsang and chanting workshops in Vancouver and throughout BC.

After seven wonderful years of teaching in Vancouver, Hirdaya returned to her home in the Himalayas, where she continued deepening her practice with her own beloved Guru. She now spends part of each year teaching in the west, and part of the year in the Himalayas.

There are no words to describe how grateful I am for Hirdaya coming into my life. I had been searching my whole life for someone to help bring me back “home” to my true Self and no other teacher has made an impact like she has. Although I’ve had many other teachers, Hirdaya is the only one who has provided me with the highest view of my own Self. Her satsangs are so powerful through her use of clear and precise communication, her angelic chanting, and her ability to bring wisdom to anything that is offered to her. The spiritual path towards enlightenment is very challenging to the human intellect and ego. Hirdaya’s nurturing and caring presence feels like I’m being enfolded into the arms of the Beloved, always encouraging and always supporting me. Satsang has become my food and Hirdaya the instrument. I’m so grateful for her.
